ELITEPRO SP NEW FEATURE UPDATE: ETHERNET, BLUETOOTH® WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY, AND WI-FI ARE NOW AVAILABLE

DENT Instruments is pleased to announce the addition of three new communications options on the ELITEpro SP: Ethernet, Bluetooth® wireless technology, and WiFi. Beginning on July 9th,an Ethernet port will be standard on all new ELITEpro SP instruments at no additional charge. Bluetooth® wireless technology or Wi-Fi may be ordered as an option on new instruments. Here are the details on these communications options.

Standard USB and Ethernet Port

Beginning on July 9th, every new ELITEpro SP (including those with Bluetooth® wireless technology or Wi-Fi) will include a USB and Ethernet (RJ-45) port. Connect directly to the ELITEpro SP via the included A-to-B USB cable, or have the ELITEpro SP on your local area network for convenient remote data download. Supports 10/1000 MB Ethernet over Cat 5 or better and can be configured for DHCP or static IP. Schedule automatic data downloads from the logger using AutoPoll software (included with ELOG 12). Reconfigure the ELITEpro SP for a new project by downloading a new setup table over Ethernet. View technical details in the Ethernet Performance Update here. Also see the Usage Matrix below.

Optional Bluetooth® Wireless Technology Interface

Save time and meet safety requirements by communicating with an ELITEpro SP without removing the electrical panel door. In addition to the standard USB and Ethernet ports, ELITEpro SP instruments may be equipped with an optional Bluetooth® wireless technology interface, which will allow a PC with a Bluetooth® wireless technology adapter running ELOG to connect to the ELITEpro SP over short distances (up to 300 feet) to send setup tables or download data. Bluetooth® enabled PC must support Serial Port Profile (SPP). Includes USB and Ethernet Port. View technical details in the Bluetooth® Performance Update here. Also see the Usage Matrix below.

Optional Wi-Fi Interface

Need a meter on your local area network but do not have a network connection near by? The ELITEpro SP’s optional Wi-Fi interface allows the meter to be connected to a wi-fi network and accessed from any PC on the network using ELOG software. Or, configure the ELITEpro SP as its own wi-fi hotspot and view real-time data using a wi-fi enabled PC, tablet, or smart phone via a web browser from up to 300 ft away. Available as two separate models: with an internal antenna or with an external antenna.. Both models include USB and Ethernet Port. View technical details in the Wi-Fi Performance Update here. Also see the Usage Matrix below.

ELOG 12 with AutoPoll

Updated ELOG 12 software (included with each new ELITEpro SP) is required to use the Ethernet, Bluetooth® wireless technology, or Wi-Fi options on the ELITEpro SP. ELOG 12 includes a separate program, called AutoPoll, which allows for unattended and automatic data retrieval from a number of remote, networked loggers. AutoPoll works in conjunction with Logger List, which is a compilation of one or more local, networked, or remote loggers, call schedules, and other tasks. A firmware update is required on any existing ELITEpro SP to use ELOG 12 features. Legacy ELITEpro loggers are compatible with ELOG 12.

Upgrades to Existing ELITEpro SP Instruments

ELITEpro SP instruments that are currently in the field may be returned to DENT for a factory upgrade for any of the above communications options. All factory upgrades include current ELOG software and a new one-year warranty. Please contact the factory for an RMA prior to returning equipment to us. A firmware update is required on any existing ELITEpro SP to use ELOG 12 features.

NEW PRODUCT ANNOUCEMENT: THE NEW 150A "EASY CLAMP" CT

Think you can't afford the convenience of a clamp-on CT for your project? Think again! DENT is introducing a new, smaller 150A clamp-on CT to its line up. The new 150A "Easy Clamp" has a broad range--from .5 to 300A--and is compact enough to fit into tight panels where space is an issue. The Easy Clamp will replace the standard 150A Clamp-On CT which we will continue to carry until we run out of stock.

The Easy Clamp is affordable for any metering or submetering project and will begin shipping mid-July.
