DENT Instruments, a global leader in the design and manufacture of power and energy measurement instruments, is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to undertake all aspects of financial management. This includes daily accounting of AR, AP and banking as well as human resources, monthly financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, and development of internal control policies and procedures.


  • Responsible for the accounting operations of the company
  • Produce financial reports, budgets and month-end reports for senior management
  • Maintain system of accounting records and controls to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP
  • Process payroll using 3rd party payroll system
  • Cash management including reconciling bank and credit card statements and managing domestic and international wire transfers
  • Accounts Payable-Verify accuracy of A/P run prepared weekly by Bookkeeper and sign checks
  • Accounts Receivable-Post bank deposits, monitor aging report ensuring payments are collected on time and managing credit applications
  • Manage Human Resources of company including coordinating company benefits: Health/Dental Insurance, FSA plan, Retirement Savings plan and vacation
  • Participates in Management meetings, forecasting and planning contributing to the company's overall growth strategy


  • Proven working experience as a Controller
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
  • Advanced degree in Accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
  • Excellent accounting software user and EXCEL skills
