FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE DENT
Instruments' LIGHTINGlogger Plays a Key Role in Determining Energy
Savings from Compact Fluorescent Lighting (CFL) in California
Study
(DENT Instruments, Bend, OR - June 3, 2008) - DENT Instruments
announced that it had recently received contracts to deliver over 2,700 of its
LIGHTINGloggersTM to KEMA, Inc., a global energy consulting services company.
The
LIGHTINGlogger is one of a series of data loggers from DENT
Instruments that are designed to monitor the on-off status and collect
time-of-use data for energy consuming devices, such as lighting
systems.
KEMA Inc. is evaluating California's Upstream Lighting Program
as part of a team led by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and
the prime contractor, Cadmus Group (formerly Quantec LLC). The program, funded
by California utility customers and administered by the state's three electric
investor-owned utilities (IOUs) under the auspices of the CPUC, provides
financial incentives to compact fluorescent lighting (CFL) manufacturers so
they can offer discounted CFLs to their retail partners.
According to
Sam Golding, Energy Analyst at KEMA, Inc., "The study will help determine how
much energy savings has been achieved by the program during 2006-2008. DENT
Instruments has proven to be a reliable and trusted energy measurement solution
provider. DENT personnel worked with KEMA to determine the right time-of-use
lighting meters, the DENT LIGHTINGloggers, to be used in the
study."
DENT Instruments is a global leader in the design and
manufacture of power and energy measurement instruments. See
